About the Cup
The Dumerso sisters rarely, if ever, let you down. This coffee has been eagerly anticipated. Structured, delicate, and tea-like, with intoxicating jasmine florals and panela/meyer lemon acidity. This is a beautiful coffee that exhibits all the quintessential characteristics of the region, terroir, and processing method.

About the Processing
Farmers carefully handpick ripe, red cherries and bring them to the Dumerso washing station. Upon arrival, the cherries are inspected and then pulped using the station’s disc pulper. The coffee ferments for 36 to 48 hours before being washed with clean water. The parchment is spread out on raised beds to dry, with workers frequently raking it for even drying. They also cover the parchment during the hottest parts of the day and overnight to prevent condensation. The drying process takes about 7 to 10 days.

About Dumerso Washing Station
The Dumerso washing station, run by sisters CEO Hirut Birhanu and Manager Mahder Birhanu, is a women-owned and family-operated business. Located in Yirgacheffe and sourcing cherries from various regions, it has been a key player in Ethiopian coffee for over 20 years, with the family owning the station for 12 years. Dumerso produces top-quality coffee using washed, natural, and experimental fermentation methods.
