Coffee can taste wildly different depending on how it’s grown, processed, roasted, and blended. Some coffees are built for comfort and routine. Others are built for exploration. Over the years, we realized most coffee websites flatten everything into one shelf, making radically different coffees feel interchangeable. So we built a ladder instead.

The Coffee Ladder isn’t about good, better, best. It’s about all the different ways coffee can express itself.
Sometimes you want chocolatey, comforting, everyday coffee. Sometimes you want something fruity, wild, or completely unexpected. And sometimes you want to strip everything back and taste the cultivar, the producer, and the place it came from.
There’s no right place to be on the ladder. Stay where you love, move around, explore it all. The only constant is our belief that great coffee should have character and that coffee is, after all, a fruit.
